Overview
PayPal MCP is PayPal's server that connects AI assistants to your PayPal account. Once you sign in and approve the client, your assistant can create, send and track invoices, look up orders and transactions, issue refunds, manage subscriptions and shipment tracking, and review disputes. PayPal hosts it and also offers a local version. It suits merchants and small businesses that bill and get paid through PayPal.
Routine PayPal admin, such as invoicing a client or checking last month's transactions, becomes a request in the chat you already use.

Good to know
You bill clients through PayPal and want an assistant to draft invoices, find a transaction or summarise a dispute. PayPal's MCP server connects the assistant to your account after you sign in and approve it.
Limits
- Some tools move money or settle cases: paying orders, issuing refunds, cancelling subscriptions and accepting dispute claims. Start with read requests and approve each action yourself.
- PayPal's docs use the sandbox server for first tests and note that MCP clients may have early performance issues.
