Overview
ClickUp MCP is the connector ClickUp hosts for AI assistants. You sign in once and choose a workspace; your assistant can then search tasks, docs and chats, create and update tasks, write doc pages, post comments and log time. ClickUp gives setup steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other clients that support remote MCP. It suits teams and individuals who plan their work in ClickUp.
It is available on every ClickUp plan, including Free Forever, and setup is a sign-in rather than an API key.

Good to know
You want an assistant to pull together what is happening in ClickUp, such as tasks due this week or the comments on a task, and to make small updates for you. ClickUp's hosted MCP server connects the assistant to your workspace after a sign-in.
Limits
- Daily call limits depend on your plan: 100 tool calls a day on Free Forever and more on paid plans. Each tool call counts once.
- Some actions have lasting effects: merging tasks cannot be undone, deleting a comment cannot be undone through the tool, and updating a doc page replaces the whole page by default.
