What it does
Figma MCP Server is Figma's hosted connector for AI agents. You paste a link to a frame or layer, and your agent pulls the layout, components and variables to write matching code; it can also create and edit frames and components on the Figma canvas. Full daily use needs a Dev or Full seat on a paid Figma plan; the free Starter plan allows only a few tool calls a month. It suits designers and developers who hand designs off to code.
It gives the agent the real structure of a design, including your components and variables, instead of guessing from a screenshot.
