What it does

Playwright MCP is Microsoft's connector that gives an AI agent its own web browser. The agent reads each page as a structured outline instead of screenshots, so it can navigate sites, click buttons, fill in forms and take screenshots step by step. You add one line to your agent's MCP settings and it starts the browser when needed. It suits developers checking their own sites and anyone who wants an agent to work through web pages.

It works from the page's accessibility outline rather than pixels, so the agent acts on clear page structure and needs no vision model.
