What it does

Stripe MCP is the connector Stripe hosts for AI agents. After you sign in, your agent can search Stripe's docs, look up customers, payments and subscriptions, and create things like invoices, payment links and refunds. Stripe asks you to confirm some actions, such as refunds, before they happen. It suits small business owners and developers who run payments on Stripe.

It is Stripe's own hosted connector with sign-in instead of secret keys, and it asks a person to confirm risky actions like refunds.

Before you start

  • An AI agent that supports MCP, such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
  • A Stripe account (sign in with OAuth, or use an agent API key)
  • Tool approval turned on in your agent, so you can check each action before it runs
  • Free option: No monthly fee on Standard; Stripe charges fees on the payments you process
  • It connects to the internet. Your agent will show you what before installing.
  • Free. Nothing to pay.
