Lets you use the Hermes agent from a browser or your phone instead of a terminal

View on GitHub

The problem it solves

Your Hermes agent is busy on a home server, and checking on it means opening a terminal and an SSH session every time.

For Hermes Agent usersSelf-hosting fansPeople who'd rather not use a terminal

Before
You chat with Hermes in a terminal, and reaching it from another device means setting up an SSH session first.
After
You open a browser tab with your chats, workspace files, scheduled tasks, skills and memory, on a computer or a phone.

Overview

Hermes WebUI is a community-built web interface for Hermes Agent, the open-source agent from Nous Research. It runs on the computer or server where Hermes lives and shows your chats, saved sessions, workspace files, scheduled tasks, skills and memory in one browser window, with a layout that also works on phones. It uses your existing Hermes setup and models. It suits people who already run Hermes, or want to, and would rather click than type commands.

It brings nearly everything the Hermes terminal can do into a browser, so you can check on your agent and its scheduled jobs from your phone.

Try these first

Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

  1. What files are in this workspace? Don't change anything.First try · read-only

  2. Show me what is saved in my memory and user profile.

  3. Create a scheduled task that sends me a short summary of [topic] news every weekday at 9am.creates a task

  4. Turn the notes in [file name] into a one-page summary and save it in the workspace.writes files

Good to know

You run Hermes Agent on your own computer or server and want to use it without a terminal. Hermes WebUI starts a local web server that shows chats, sessions, workspace files and scheduled tasks in a browser.

Limits

  • It depends on Hermes Agent internals; the project advises upgrading the WebUI and Hermes Agent together.
  • The server only listens on your own computer by default. Reaching it from a phone needs an SSH tunnel or Tailscale, and a password if you open the port wider.
