Overview
HeyGen is a web app for making videos with AI presenters. You type a script or an idea, or upload slides, a PDF, an image or audio, and it produces a video with an avatar speaking your words, plus captions and motion graphics you can edit. It can also translate an existing video into 175+ languages with lip-sync, and you can create an avatar of yourself after an on-camera identity check. It suits trainers, marketers and teams who need explainer or onboarding videos without filming.
You edit the video like a document: change a line of the script and the presenter says the new words, with no reshoot.

You need a short training or product video but have no camera, studio or editor. HeyGen turns a script or slide deck into a video with an AI presenter and captions, and can translate a finished video into other languages.
Limits
- The Free plan allows 3 videos a month of up to 1 minute each, with a watermark; longer videos and watermark removal need a paid plan.
- A custom avatar of a real person needs that person's on-camera identity check. Check the script, captions and translated speech before you publish.
