Puts Claude Code, Codex and other agents in an Obsidian sidebar to work on your notes
You copy a messy note into a chatbot, ask it to clean it up, then paste the answer back and fix the links by hand.

Claudian is an Obsidian plugin that brings coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode into your vault. You chat with the agent in a sidebar; it reads, writes, searches and edits your notes, and you can select text to rewrite it in place with a word-level preview of the changes. It needs at least one supported agent installed and a plan or API key for it. It suits Obsidian users who want an agent working directly on their notes.
Your vault becomes the agent's working folder, so it can reorganise notes, follow links and edit text in place instead of copying between apps.
Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

| Feature | What it does | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Sidebar chat | Talk to Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and other supported agents inside Obsidian | Your agent's provider |
| Vault access | The agent reads, writes, searches and runs commands in your vault | Your vault |
| Inline edit | Select text and edit it in place with a word-level preview of changes | Your vault |
| Mentions and skills | Use @ to point at notes or folders, / for saved prompts and skills | Your vault |
| Projects and tabs | Group sessions under shared instructions and keep several chats open | Your vault |
You keep your notes in Obsidian and want an agent to tidy, summarise or rewrite them where they live. Claudian runs your installed agent with the vault as its folder and shows its work in a sidebar.
