The problem it solves

You left a long agent task running at your desk and keep wondering whether it is stuck waiting for you.

For Claude Code usersCodex usersTeams sharing agent sessions

Before
You walk back to your computer to check the terminal, and each agent lives in its own window with its own login.
After
You see every session in one desktop app and on your phone, reply from either, and the work keeps running when you close the window.

Overview

Happy is an open-source app for running coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Grok in one place, using the subscriptions you already pay for. The desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux finds the sign-ins on your machine, keeps sessions running after you close the window, and pairs with the Happy phone app so you can follow and steer the same sessions away from your desk. A built-in Chief of Staff bot walks you through setup in plain conversation. It suits people who already use one of these coding agents.

It adds no model bill of its own: it reuses your existing agent sign-ins, and traffic between your devices is end-to-end encrypted.

Try these first

Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

  1. Describe this project's folder layout. Don't edit any files.First try · read-only

  2. Help me get started with Happy and pair my phone.

  3. Start a Codex session in [project] and list the tests that currently fail.

  4. Fix the first failing test in a new workspace and show me the diff.edits files

Good to know

You start a Claude Code or Codex task at your desk and want to keep an eye on it from your phone. Happy runs the sessions in its desktop app and shows the same ones in its phone app, where you can read progress and send the next message.

Limits

  • It needs a coding agent already signed in on the computer; Happy does not supply model access. Voice in the phone app has a monthly free allowance, then an in-app subscription.
  • New sessions run in Auto mode, where reads and workspace edits happen without asking. Start with a small change in a project you can undo.
