Builds and publishes apps and websites from a chat in plain words
Replit is an online workspace where you describe an app or site in chat and its Agent builds it, with a live preview and checkpoints, then you publish it to a web address. Runs in the browser, plus Mac and Windows apps.

Replit is the company behind the Replit app-building platform; its co-founders include Amjad Masad (CEO) and Haya Odeh.
Replit is an online workspace where you chat with its Agent to build apps and sites. You describe what you want, with text, screenshots or sketches; Agent plans the change, writes the code and shows a live preview you can check, with checkpoints you can roll back to. When it works, you publish it to a replit.app web address. It runs in the browser, with desktop apps for macOS and Windows, and suits people with an idea but no coding background as well as developers.
Checkpoints let you roll an app back to an earlier state, its database included, so a change that goes wrong is easy to undo.
Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

| Feature | What it does | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Build from a chat | Turns text, screenshots, sketches or files into a working app or site | Your Replit account |
| Preview | A live preview to click through the app before anyone else sees it | Your Replit account |
| Checkpoints | Roll back files, Agent memory and the database to an earlier point | Your Replit account |
| Plan mode | Shows the goal and build steps for your OK before files change; needs Core or Pro | Paid plan |
| Publishing | Puts the app online at a replit.app address or your own domain | Public web |
| Connectors | Connects your existing tools for more context; needs Core or Pro | Your connected tools |
You need a small web app or site and you don't write code. You describe it to Replit Agent, check the result in the preview, and publish it to a replit.app address when it does what you need.
