The problem it solves

For People with ADHDAnyone, no ADHD diagnosis needed

Before
You dig the next action out of long, chatty answers.

Overview

I Have ADHD is a skill that changes how your coding assistant writes its replies. Each answer starts with the action to take, multi-step work comes as numbered steps, time estimates use minutes or hours, and when something is left open, a reply ends with one small next step. You switch it on by typing /i-have-adhd and off by saying "stop adhd mode". No ADHD diagnosis is needed.

Replies lead with the action and number the steps, so the step you need is the first thing you read.

Try these first

Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

  1. /i-have-adhd How do I rename a git branch?First try · slash command

  2. How do I set up [tool] on my computer?numbered steps

  3. Why does this test fail? [paste the error message]

  4. Stop adhd mode.turns it off

Example prompts written by Agent Flows Hub.

What you get

One next stepWhen something is left open, a reply ends with one action under two minutesReply style only
Progress restatedReplies restate where you are, for example step 3 of 5 doneReply style only
Time estimatesEstimates come in minutes or hours, not 'a bit of work'Reply style only
Short listsVisible lists stop at five items, grouped and rankedReply style only

Good to know

You use a coding assistant and its answers bury the step you need under greetings and recaps. This skill reshapes replies so the first line is an action, the steps are numbered and, when something is left open, the reply ends with one small next step.

Limits

  • Nothing happens until you type /i-have-adhd (Codex: $i-have-adhd); it then stays on for the session until you say "stop adhd mode" or "normal mode".
  • It relaxes the short style when you ask for an explanation, before destructive actions and after repeated failed fixes.
