Overview

Cindy is an open-source desktop and mobile app with AI agents built in, including Claude Code, Codex and the open-source Pi agent. You describe a task in chat; it works with your files, browser and apps, and can answer with charts or interactive pages. You can pick up the same session from another computer or your phone, set up recurring automations and give companions their own roles and skills. It suits people who want one place to hand work to AI across their devices.

It connects your computers and phone to one agent, so you can start a task at your desk and check on it from your phone without renting a server.

Try these first

Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

  1. List the files in [test folder] and write a one-paragraph summary into a new file called summary.txt.First try · writes a file

  2. Turn this table into a short briefing with a chart: [paste table]

  3. Every Monday at 9:00, collect the files I changed last week in [folder] and list them.recurring task

  4. Plan this change with one agent, then have a second one review the result: [describe change]

Good to know

You want to ask an agent for a change to files on your computer and check the result later from another device. Cindy runs the task through the agent and model you choose and keeps the session available on your other signed-in devices.

Limits

  • The client is free, but every model request is billed by your provider or by Cindy credit. Remote access needs the same Cindy account on each device and the computer must stay online.
  • Official builds send usage analytics by default after sign-in; you can turn this off in Settings. Choosing Skip Sign-In runs local agents only, without server features.
