Overview

Understand Anything is a Claude Code plugin that reads a project and builds a knowledge graph of its files, functions and links between them. You run one command; it saves the graph in the project and opens a dashboard you can search, zoom and click, with plain-English summaries and guided tours. It can also map business flows, explain what a change affects and turn a folder of wiki notes into a graph. It suits new team members, product managers and anyone who has to make sense of an unfamiliar project.

It explains a project in the order you should learn it, with a guided tour and a summary for every piece, instead of only drawing a tangle of links.

  3. /understand-onboard to write a getting-started guide for new team members.writes a file

Good to know

Open an unfamiliar project and get a map of how its parts fit together. The plugin scans the files, builds a graph with plain-English summaries and opens a dashboard with a guided tour you can follow in order.

Limits

  • The first scan reads the whole project through your agent's model and can use many tokens on a large codebase; later runs only re-read changed files.
  • The graph is saved inside the project folder, so decide whether to commit it before sharing the repository.
