Lets you run a team of AI bots in a chat app, each with its own model, computer and apps
You have three AI tasks going at once, each in its own terminal window, and you can't remember which one is waiting for you.
For Claude and ChatGPT subscribersPeople running several AI agentsSmall teams
OpenMausBot is an open-source desktop chat app where every contact in the sidebar is an AI bot running on the Claude, Codex or Grok command-line tools you already have. Each bot has its own personality and model, and can use a cloud computer, a local virtual machine or, if you allow it, your own computer, plus connected apps like Gmail and Slack. Risky actions show up as Allow or Deny cards in the chat. It suits people who already pay for Claude or ChatGPT and want several agents working side by side.
It treats agents like contacts in a messaging app, so you can split work across several bots and approve each risky step from the chat.
Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

| Feature | What it does | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Bot roster | Each bot is a chat contact with its own personality and model | Your computer |
| Approval cards | Shell commands, file edits and questions appear as Allow or Deny cards | Your computer |
| Computers | A cloud Linux desktop, a local virtual machine, or your own computer when you opt in | Cloud or your computer |
| Connected apps | Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Notion and hundreds more through Composio | Your accounts |
| Channels and teams | Separate channels per project, and whole teams imported from one Markdown file | Your computer |
| Voice | Bots read replies aloud or take calls, with hosted or built-in voices | Voice service |
You already use Claude Code or Codex and want several agents with different roles in one place. OpenMausBot gives each one a chat thread, a model and a computer, and asks you to approve risky steps.
