Overview

This is an official ComfyUI workflow template that turns one image into a textured 3D model. You load a picture of an object; it removes the background, builds the shape with either Pixal3D or Microsoft's TRELLIS.2 (one switch picks the model), then cleans up the mesh and bakes color, normal and ambient-occlusion maps. ComfyUI offers to download about 14 GB of model files the first time. It suits ComfyUI users and 3D hobbyists who want models from a picture with no per-generation charge.

Both 3D models are open under the MIT license and run on your own graphics card, and the template includes the full mesh clean-up and texture baking.

Try these first

Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

  1. Open the template, check the seven model files it lists, and run the sample axe image with the default settings.First try · about 14 GB download

  2. Load a photo of [an object on a plain background] and set the switch to true to use TRELLIS.2.

  3. Run the same picture with Pixal3D, then compare the two models in the 3D preview.

Good to know

Turn a single product or prop photo into a textured 3D model with ComfyUI's official template. One switch chooses Pixal3D or TRELLIS.2, and the same graph removes the background, cleans the mesh and bakes the texture maps.

Limits

  • The seven model files take about 14 GB, and Comfy gives no memory figure for running them. If nodes are missing, update ComfyUI first; the docs suggest the latest nightly build.
