The problem it solves

Payroll is due in two weeks, two big invoices are still unpaid, and you can't tell if the account will cover it.

For Small business ownersOnline shop owners

Before
You add up the balance, open invoices and upcoming bills in a spreadsheet by hand, and guess when customers will pay.
After
You get a 30/60/90-day forecast with a low-to-high range, the named risks behind it and a spreadsheet you can check line by line.

Overview

A skill from Anthropic's Small Business plugin that forecasts your cash for the next 30, 60 and 90 days. It reads a CSV export, or your accounting and payment tools when they are connected, and returns a summary with a low-to-high range for each window, named risks such as a late payer or a tight payroll date, and a downloadable spreadsheet. Made for small business owners who want to know if the money will be there.

It names the risks behind the numbers, such as a late-paying customer's invoice or a payroll date the balance can't cover, so you know who to chase.

Try these first

Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

  1. Here is a made-up CSV of income and expenses: [attach file]. Our bank balance is [amount] as of [date]. Forecast the next 30, 60 and 90 days.First try · made-up data

  2. Will I make payroll on [date]? Show which invoices it depends on.

  3. Which customers usually pay late, and how does that change the 30-day number?

  4. Use my connected QuickBooks to build this month's cash forecast.reads your books

Good to know

Check whether the business can cover payroll and bills over the next three months. The skill turns receivables, payables and fixed costs into a 30/60/90-day forecast with a range for each window and up to five named risks.

Limits

  • The forecast needs a starting bank balance; without one it shows net change only. It is not accounting advice, so check the figures with your bookkeeper before a financing decision.
  • The skill relies on files shared across the Small Business plugin, so install the whole plugin rather than this folder alone.
