Overview

Open CoDesign is a free desktop app that designs from a description. You type what you want, such as a landing page, a pitch deck or a mobile screen, and an AI agent builds it while you watch. You then click any part to ask for a change, adjust colors and spacing with sliders, and export HTML, PDF, PowerPoint, ZIP or Markdown. It suits founders, marketers and designers who want quick prototypes with the AI model they already pay for.

It is open source and runs on your own computer, and it works with your own API key, a ChatGPT plan or a local model instead of a new subscription.

Good to know

Describe a page, deck or app screen and get an interactive prototype you can refine. You point at the parts to change, then export the result as HTML, PDF, PPTX, ZIP or Markdown.

Limits

The installers are not signed yet. The README says recent macOS versions need one xattr command before the app opens, and Windows shows a SmartScreen warning.
Prototypes are not working services: data and service actions are simulated, with no real sign-in, payments or backend.
