Turns articles, transcripts and notes into a linked Obsidian wiki that cites its sources

claude-obsidian is a Claude Code plugin by Agrici Daniel that keeps a knowledge base in an Obsidian vault. You drop papers, articles, transcripts or notes into an inbox folder; Claude writes linked notes that point back to their sources, answers questions from what the vault already holds and runs a health check for dead links and gaps. The notes are plain Markdown files stored on your computer. It suits researchers, students and writers who read a lot.
Changes to your notes are planned first and applied as one step that can roll back, and an edit you make meanwhile stops the write instead of being overwritten.
Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

| Output | What it is | Reads |
|---|---|---|
| Linked notes | Pages written from your sources, each pointing back to where it came from | Your vault |
| Answers from notes | Questions answered from what the vault holds, with citations, without changing files | Your vault |
| Health check | Looks for dead links, orphan pages, missing metadata and empty sections | Your vault |
| Filing modes | Files new notes the Generic, LYT, PARA or Zettelkasten way | Your vault |
| Roll back | A journal rolls back a change that stopped halfway | Your vault |
| Web research | Limited web research that runs only after you agree | The web |
Build a research wiki from material you have already collected. Sources placed in the vault's inbox become linked notes with their sources recorded, and later questions are answered from those notes with citations.
