What it does
Codex for Claude Code is OpenAI's plugin that brings Codex into Claude Code. It adds commands to have Codex look over your current changes, run a challenge review that questions a specific decision, or hand a task to Codex in the background and collect the result later. A setup command checks that Codex is installed and signed in. It suits developers who use Claude Code and want a second opinion from another company's agent.
A second agent from a different company looks at the same work, which can catch problems the first one misses.
Before you start

- 4Codex installed; the setup command can install it for you through npm

How to start
- Install Claude Code firstThe plugin adds to Claude Code; it does not work on its own.
- Type the commands into Claude CodePaste the install request into Claude Code, or enter these lines yourself one by one or follow the official guide.
