Overview
AionUi is a free desktop app with a built-in AI agent that can read and write files on your computer, search the web and make Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. You add an API key from a model provider or connect a local model, pick one of its ready-made assistants and describe the task; results open in a preview panel. It can also run tasks on a schedule, reply through Telegram, Lark, DingTalk or WeChat, and drive agents you already have, such as Claude Code or Codex. It suits office workers and small teams who want an agent without the terminal.
It gives you agent work on local files in one desktop window on macOS, Windows and Linux, with whichever model provider you already use.

Good to know
Ask a desktop agent to sort a downloads folder, clean up a spreadsheet or draft a slide deck, then check the result in the built-in preview. Scheduled tasks can repeat a report on a fixed time.
Limits
- The agent can read and write files in the folders you give it, and some agents offer a YOLO or full-auto mode that skips confirmations. Start with a copy of your files in a test folder.
- WebUI and chat-app access let you control the agent from other devices. Turn them on only when you need them and check who can reach them.
