Hands research tasks to AI agents that read papers, run analyses and record each step
AIPOCH Open-Science is an open-source desktop app for scientific research on Mac, Windows and Linux. You pose a question and add data or papers; its agents search literature, run analyses and return reports and charts.
For Scientists and researchersGraduate studentsResearch teams
AIPOCH publishes Open-Science as open source on GitHub. Its GitHub profile says it builds for scientific research and lists Singapore as its location.

AIPOCH Open-Science is a desktop research workbench from AIPOCH. You set up a project, explain your research question in everyday words and add your data or papers; its agents look up literature, run Python or R analyses, pull from scientific databases and return reports, tables and charts. Each result is kept as a fixed version with the code and inputs behind it, where they were captured, so you can check or share it later. It suits scientists, students and research teams.
Each figure or table gets a Provenance view of the code, inputs and steps behind it, which makes AI-assisted analysis easier to check.
Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

| Feature | What it does | Runs |
|---|---|---|
| Research agents | Plan and run multi-step tasks with Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex or CodeBuddy as the backend | Your model provider |
| Python and R | Run notebooks, scripts and shell work locally, or on a remote host over SSH or Slurm | Your computer |
| Literature library | Import papers and PDFs, read them, extract figures and tables, import from Zotero | Your computer |
| Scientific connectors | Built-in connectors to scientific data sources, plus your own MCP connectors | Outside services |
| Provenance | Each result is kept as a fixed version; its Provenance view shows the code, inputs and run history it captured | Your computer |
| Research packages | Export a session as a .science file for review, handoff or archiving | Your computer |
Describe a research question, attach the data or papers, and let the agents run the literature search and analysis. The reports, tables and figures stay in the project, and each one’s Provenance view shows the code, inputs and steps behind it.
