Has Claude build research talks with takeaway titles, results charts and citations
Your conference talk is next week, and your slides are a stack of topic headings and charts nobody can read from the back row.
For Researchers and PhD studentsPeople giving conference talks
Academic Presentations is a skill that changes how Claude plans and designs slides for conference talks, seminars, thesis defences and grant briefings. You describe your paper or research; Claude outlines the deck as an argument, writes each slide title as a full-sentence takeaway, puts one annotated chart on each results slide and adds citations and a references slide. It works with Claude's own PowerPoint skill, which makes the .pptx file. It suits researchers and students preparing an academic talk.
Instead of decorative slides, it applies a plain, argument-first style, and the slide titles alone read as a summary of the talk.
Start with the first one: it is a small task you can check easily.

| Output | What it is | Reads |
|---|---|---|
| Argument outline | A slide-by-slide plan, checked so the titles alone tell the story | What you paste |
| Action titles | Every slide title written as a full-sentence takeaway | What you paste |
| One exhibit per slide | One chart per results slide, with the key finding marked on it | What you paste |
| Citations | In-slide citations on borrowed figures and a references slide at the end | What you paste |
| PowerPoint file | A .pptx made with Claude's own PowerPoint skill | Claude file creation |
Prepare slides for a conference talk or thesis defence from your paper. The skill has Claude outline the argument first, then build a deck whose titles state each finding and whose results slides carry one annotated chart.
