Overview
This is the skill Anthropic uses for Claude's own PDF work. Ask in plain words and Claude merges or splits files, rotates pages, adds a watermark or password, fills in a PDF form, or pulls the text and tables out of a PDF, including scanned pages. You get a new PDF or the extracted content. It suits office workers, students and anyone who handles forms and reports.
It covers everyday PDF jobs such as merging, splitting and filling in forms, and it already ships inside Claude.ai.

Good to know
Combine several PDFs into one file, or pull a table out of a report into a spreadsheet. The skill tells Claude which PDF tools to use for each job and how to fill in form fields.
Limits
- It is source-available, not open source: its license allows use only through Anthropic's services under your Claude terms, so it is not meant to be copied into other agents.
- Text from scanned pages comes from character recognition and can contain mistakes. Check names, numbers and dates against the original.
