What it does

Chrome DevTools for agents is the Chrome DevTools team's connector that lets an AI agent drive and inspect a live Chrome browser. The agent can open pages, click through them, read console messages and network requests, take screenshots and record performance traces with suggestions. Google collects usage statistics by default; a flag turns this off. It suits web developers who want their agent to debug and speed up sites.

It gives the agent the same DevTools that web developers use by hand, including performance traces with practical suggestions.
