## What it does

This is the skill Anthropic uses when Claude makes or edits spreadsheets. Describe the sheet you need or share a messy file, and Claude builds an .xlsx with formulas instead of fixed numbers, tidies rows and headers, or converts between CSV and Excel. It recalculates the file and checks it for formula errors before handing it back. It suits people who track budgets, sales or data in spreadsheets.

Original project name: xlsx (Anthropic skills)

- It is source-available, not open source: its license allows use only through Anthropic's services under your Claude terms, so it is not meant to be copied into other agents.
- A sheet with no formula errors can still use the wrong cells. Check two or three totals by hand before you rely on the numbers.

Suggested first task: Ask for a small budget sheet with five expense rows and a total. Change one amount in Excel and check that the total updates.
